Who'll stand up for them?

"Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan"
The legendary slogan attributed to Shashtriji has been backtracked in this 21st century Liberalised World, where the need of soldier comes when the enemy attacks and the farmer, when you don't have food on your dinner plate.
In so far,the moat neglected lot amongst our general Indian populace has been tha farmers.Though comprising of about 70%of our Economy (our Economy is primarily an Agrarian one);it's the farmers who are left out.
Let me give you a basic example.Do you know the name of at least one farmer leader? No!Well, that's what I expected from you..Farmers are a poor, neglected lot.Yes,there are Farmers with big houses & tractors and all that, but the ones who are th moat vulnerable are the one's who are into subsistence farming i.e.their very source of food is whatnthey grow. With the division of landholdings, policy paralyais at the governmental stage, erratic weather patterns, all of them have pushed our farmers back to the wall.
There was a  report by the United Nations , there was a farmer suicide every 32 minutes between 1997 and 2005 in India.Isn't that enough for us to introspect?
It's high time, We,the citizens of India do something to address this growing problem and lend voice of the unheard.
